OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare host this website. To deliver and protect it, hosting services process technical connection data such as IP address, requested page, time and browser/device information. Necessary security cookies may be set. Our website code includes no advertising or analytics trackers. Language and demo inputs are not stored as a user profile.
Hosting and legal basis
Website delivery and security rely on our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure service (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Hosting data may also be processed outside the EU. The provider notices linked below describe recipients, international transfers and retention. We do not maintain an additional visitor database.
When you contact us
We process your email address and message to answer your enquiry. The basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) for contract-related requests, otherwise our legitimate interest in responding under Article 6(1)(f). Messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the request or meet legal retention duties. Contact is voluntary; without a reply address we cannot respond.
Your rights
Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the controller named on this page. You may complain to a data protection authority, such as the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. We do not make automated decisions about you.
Launch notification
We store your email address, the time, and the version of your consent with Resend for one message when AngleDuo becomes available on the App Store. You can withdraw at any time by emailing hello@julianzett.com. We delete the launch list after that message or withdrawal, unless legally required to retain it. We do not currently send a confirmation email.
AngleDuo works without an account. This version uses no advertising, analytics or tracking services.
Stored on your device
The app stores your language, haptic, screen-awake and control-panel preferences as well as the measuring mode, target angle and tolerance. If enabled, it also saves the held or last stable angle with its status and time. Current readings, the relative zero and the first-surface reference are processed in memory only.
No automatic transfer
AngleDuo does not send measurements or settings to the developer or to its own servers. There is no cloud account or background analytics in this version.
Purchases
Optional Pro purchases and restoration are handled by Apple through StoreKit. The app checks the purchase entitlement on your device. We do not receive your payment details. The number of free angle measurements used is counted on your device in the Keychain; it is not transmitted and is not reset by deleting local data. Deleting local measurements does not cancel a purchase.
Device backups
Depending on your device settings, iOS may include this app’s local data in device backups. AngleDuo does not provide its own cloud sync. Backup and system diagnostic settings are managed by iOS.
Your control
Turning this off removes the saved measurement from this device. The current measurement can still be held for this session. Settings → Privacy → Delete local data

If you email us, your message and email address are used to answer your request. Email is sent through your mail app, not automatically by AngleDuo.
