In the app

DawnDuo needs no account and has no advertising, analytics or tracking services. Alarm times, weekdays, light, night and sound settings, plus a local review-request counter, stay on your device. The app and widget share the next alarm locally. No sleep recordings are made and no app usage data is sent to the developer.

iOS and your control

With alarm permission, the app passes the scheduled time and alarm details to iOS. You can revoke permission in system settings. Delete local settings under Alarm → Privacy → Delete local data. Otherwise they remain until deleted. Device backups and system diagnostics follow your Apple settings.

This website

OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare host this website. To deliver and protect it, hosting services process technical connection data such as IP address, requested page, time and browser/device information. Necessary security cookies may be set. Our website code includes no advertising or analytics trackers. Language and demo inputs are not stored as a user profile; audio files load only after interaction.

Hosting and legal basis

Website delivery and security rely on our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure service (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Hosting data may also be processed outside the EU. The provider notices linked below describe recipients, international transfers and retention. We do not maintain an additional visitor database.

When you contact us

We process your email address and message to answer your enquiry. The basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) for contract-related requests, otherwise our legitimate interest in responding under Article 6(1)(f). Messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the request or meet legal retention duties. Contact is voluntary; without a reply address we cannot respond.

Your rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the controller named on this page. You may complain to a data protection authority, such as the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. We do not make automated decisions about you.

DawnDuo email updates

When you sign up for DawnDuo updates, we store your email address, the time, and the version of your consent with Resend. We send emails about the App Store launch, new features, and important product news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by writing to hello@julianzett.com. We keep your address until you unsubscribe or we close the list; a necessary opt-out record may be retained longer. We do not currently send a confirmation email.
